World Environment Day 2026: Why sustainable habits are more important than ever!
June 5th is World Environment Day. Since 1972, the United Nations has used this day to remind us how vital it is to protect our environment — not someday, but now. In more than 150 countries, actions, events, and initiatives are taking place to show that climate protection doesn't begin only in politics or with large corporations. It begins with us. Every day. In small decisions.
Each year, World Environment Day is officially hosted by a partner country. In 2026, Azerbaijan takes on that role. Under the international theme #NowForClimate, countless actions, campaigns, and projects are in focus around the world — all aimed at inspiring people toward greater ecological responsibility and sustainable action. The message is clear: solutions to many environmental problems are already known. Now it's time to put them into practice, together.
World Environment Day reminds us how closely our everyday lives are connected to the environment. We often underestimate how much impact small routines can have — including in the bathroom.
Sustainability starts in everyday life
Many people today are consciously choosing regional foods, sustainable clothing, or plastic-free packaging. But one area is often overlooked: our daily oral care routine.
Every day, toothpaste tubes, plastic packaging, and single-use products generate enormous amounts of waste. At the same time, synthetic ingredients and microplastics enter our environment through wastewater.
At Natch, we believe sustainability shouldn't be complicated. It can be easy. Everyday. And it often starts right where we begin each morning.
Brushing reimagined
With our Natch Tooth Tabs, we want to show that modern oral care can also be environmentally friendly.
Our approach is built on three simple values:
Health. Sustainability. Enjoyment.
Our Tabs come without a plastic tube, contain no microplastics, and are made from natural ingredients. They are vegan, cruelty-free, and packaged with a consistent commitment to plastic-free materials.
Another plus: you don't need running water while brushing. The foam forms directly in your mouth — pleasant, practical, and resource-friendly all at once.
For us, sustainability doesn't mean doing without. It means making more conscious choices that feel good — and help our environment at the same time.
Why small changes make a big difference
When we think about climate protection, we often picture enormous challenges. But change almost always starts small.
When many people act a little more consciously each day, real impact follows:
- less plastic waste
- less polluted wastewater
- less resource consumption
- greater awareness of our environment
And that is exactly what makes sustainable routines so powerful.
Small ideas, big impact
Save water
Water is precious. Don't let the tap run unnecessarily, and collect rainwater for plants or balcony boxes. Even shorter showers make a lasting difference over time.
Avoid microplastics
When choosing cosmetics, hygiene, and cleaning products, look for ingredients free from microplastics. Many natural alternatives clean just as effectively — but far more gently on the environment.
Shop locally

Regional and seasonal foods reduce long transport routes and support local producers. Organic products also help protect soils and waterways.
Consume more mindfully
Not every new purchase brings lasting happiness. Wearing clothes longer, buying secondhand, or passing things on saves resources and cuts waste.
Use fewer single-use products
Reusable water bottles, cloth bags, or glass containers go a long way toward reducing plastic in daily life.
Use energy mindfully
Turning off lights, not leaving devices on standby, or washing laundry at lower temperatures — small habits with a big impact.
Try sustainable mobility
Walking or cycling short distances, carpooling, or using public transport more often relieves both climate and environment.
Support plants and biodiversity
Even a small balcony or garden can create habitat for insects. Native plants, herbs, or bee-friendly flowers support biodiversity.
Health and environmental protection belong together
What's good for the environment is often good for us too. Fewer harmful ingredients, more conscious consumer choices, and sustainable routines don't just feel better — they also support our long-term health.
That's why, on World Environment Day 2026, we want to inspire you to take a fresh look at your habits. Not to be perfect. But to live a little more consciously, step by step.
Because every small decision counts.
Taking responsibility together
World Environment Day reminds us that we can all be part of the solution. Not through perfection, but through daily decisions made with awareness.
Let's build routines that are good not only for ourselves, but for our planet too. Natch is by your side!
We hope you'll walk this path with us.
Yours,
Norbert und Heber
